Fest of Taste and Beauty

On April 07, 2016 Svetlana KarasAssistance lecturer, Chair of Labour Training and Decorative Art, gave a class in “Technologies of Cooking”.

5th year students got a great opportunity to make the acquaintance of non-traditional confectionary. The students showed their talent, creativity and obtained much useful information. During 2-hour class an ordinary hands-on turned into fest of taste and beauty.

The students got to know much about cake decoration elements (topping, chocolate, marzipan, jelly, mastic, praline, caramel, streusel, sugar glaze, marshmallow) and contemporary techniques of decoration. Training material was accompanied with multi-media presentations; it helped to use time effectively, motivate students to obtain new knowledge. In the course of the class the students baked biscuits and decorate them with chocolate and self-made sugar glaze.

It was essential to mention the main objective of the class was reached. New knowledge was adopted, professional competency was raised.
