On March 21, 2019 science and methodology seminar “Renaissance of Belarusian arts and crafts (in the system of additional education of children and youth)” was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin; chief organizer – Center for new techniques in Pedagogics (Chair of Pedagogics and Psychology). Representatives of establishments for additional education from Mozyr and Kalinkovichi, representatives of Mozyr Plant for Arts and Crafts participated in the affair.

Mister University – 2019

On March 21, 2019 “Mister University – 2019” contest was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. Representatives of 5 departments participated in this competition. There were 4 contests: “Gentleman”, “Patriot”, “Good guy”, “Creative contest”. The members of the jury commission did their best to choose the person who would bear this great title with honesty.

CAREER – GUIDANCE IN KALINKOVICHI

On March 23, 2019 Sergey Astreyko, Head of the Chair of Technological Education, and Helen Dedkovskaya, Head teacher, Chair of Special Pedagogics and Methodology of Preschool and Elementary Education, arranged a career-guidance fest in Kalinkovichi (Secondary School No.7). The representatives of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin made up a presentation about bachelor degree programs available for students at our university in 2019. Much attention was paid to positive sides of teaching profession, affordance prices, well-equipped student dormitories, wide range of possibilities for sport and research, high demand of teaching profession in labor market. Career-guidance day became a bright affair for the school children as well as their parents.

WORKSHOP ON FINANCIAL AWARENESS

On March 21, 2019 workshop “How to upgrade financial awareness” was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin; chief organizers: Youth initiative office, Self-administration Committee in the community “Central”. The workshop was arranged within the state program “Small and medium business development program” for 2016–2020.

DOORS OPEN DAY AT TECHNOLOGY AND BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT

On March 16, 2019 doors open day ceremony was held at the premises of Technology and Biology Department. More than 65 pupils and teachers from secondary schools and lyceum in Gomel region visited MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin.

Doors open day is a nice option for school children to feel the atmosphere of university, get to know more about the departments, meet the teachers, see the programs, visit the labs and classrooms, participate in the workshops and seminars. The representatives of Technology and Biology Department prepared a wide range of activities for the guests: art exhibition, labs and classrooms tour, seminars on Chemistry and Zoology, decorative art workshop “Easter souvenir”. A bright performance was arranged by the students from Technology and Biology Department for the guests.
