FRESHERS' WEEK AT THE TECHNOLOGY AND BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Freshers learned about the prospects that are open to them during their studies, the wide opportunities to engage not only in academic, but also in scientific and creative activities, to participate in the volunteer movement. Demonstrated applications to diploma theses, creative works impressed those present and inspired them to create their own original projects.
An excursion was organised for the group 1/2 “Service work and fine arts” to the training workshops, laboratories of the Department of Technological Education Methodology in order to get acquainted with the direction of scientific work, clubs, scientific achievements of the department. First-year students learnt about the laboratory of sewing production technology, where students master the technology and equipment of sewing production.
The basics of cooking various dishes students learn in the laboratory of cooking technology.
In the workshop of artistic processing of materials at the classes on decorative and applied arts and at the classes on fine arts students master various techniques, using them to perform creative works, which are exhibited at exhibitions at various levels, seminars.
The Chair of Biology and Chemistry organised an exhibition of students' scientific works for first-year students. The presented collections of students' scientific conferences, diploma and competition works of students who took part in the competitions of scientific works and received high marks, creative works of students will serve as visual aids in the preparation and carrying out of laboratory-practical classes.
Such events contribute to the involvement of young people in the life of the university and the development of their scientific and creative potential.
