Professor of the Department of Pedagogy Valery Bolbas was awarded the Certificate of Merit of the University for many years of fruitful work on training of highly qualified pedagogical staff, professionalism, significant contribution to the organisation of training of students, undergraduates and postgraduates, as well as high results of research activities and in connection with the 75th anniversary.

Sergey Nikolayevich Shchur, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work, was awarded the Certificate of Honour for many years of conscientious work, significant personal contribution to the creation of conditions for successful organisation of ideological and social work, continuous improvement of professional knowledge and skills, active participation in the public life of the University.

Achievements of teachers and scientists of our university were noted at the regional and district levels. Earlier, on 23 January, at the solemn meeting dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Belarusian Science in Gomel.

Gratitude of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee for many years of fruitful work on training of pedagogical staff and staff of higher scientific qualification, high results in the field of scientific research, personal contribution to the expansion of international scientific relations was announced to the head of the Department of History and Social Sciences Sergei Valerievich Telepny.

Nina Anatolievna Garulya, Associate Professor of the Department of Technological Education, was awarded the Diploma of the University for many years of fruitful scientific and methodological activity, introduction of scientific developments in the educational activity of the University, effective work on the development of research competences of student youth.

Gratitude of the University was announced to Inna Mikhailovna Shimanskaya, senior lecturer of the Department of Biology and Chemistry for fruitful scientific and methodical activity, introduction of scientific developments in the educational activity of educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus, as well as to Oksana Sergeyevna Kochubey, senior lecturer of the Department of Psychology and Social Pedagogy, for active scientific and pedagogical and social activity, effective work on the development of research competences of student youth.

Olga Grigorievna Slivets, Head of the Research Sector, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, made a report on the achievements of youth science at our university. She also told about the forms of support and financial incentives for students and young scientists. Thus, since 2024 the competition for the award of Voskan Haykazovich Chobanyan, Director of ‘Nelli’ LLC, patron of arts, public figure, honorary citizen of the city of Mozyr, for students who successfully master the content of educational programmes of higher education, have achievements in scientific and sports activities, active citizenship and have shown themselves in the social life of the university and the city has been established. Congratulating the employees of the university on their professional holiday, Voskan Haykazovich also made a proposal to financially encourage not only the students, but also the established scientists, who showed themselves by the results of the year.

Chairman of the primary trade union organisation of the University Victor V. Strukov continued the congratulations and presented the Certificate of Honour of the Gomel Regional Organisation of the Belarusian Professional Union of Workers of Education and Science to Professor of the Department of Belarusian and Russian Philology Sergey Borisovich Kurash.

For fruitful work and achievements in scientific activity, development of research competences of students, active socially significant work in the primary trade union organisation the Diploma of the primary trade union organisation of the University was awarded to Natalia Alekseevna Borisenko, Head of the Department of Special Pedagogy and Methods of Preschool and Primary Education.

СDiplomas of the primary trade union organisation of the university were awarded to Elena Evgenyevna Barsuk, associate professor of the Department of History and Social Sciences, Valentina Vladimirovna Davydovskaya, associate professor of the Department of Theoretical Physics and Applied Computer Science, as well as students Pavel Kohan, Igor Grishchuk, Daria Goncharova, Anastasia Tsapova - for active participation in public life of the university, high results in creative and research activities, assistance in holding and implementation of trade union actions, events and projects.

Words of congratulations were also heard from Svetlana Leonidovna Feshchenko, a member of the Council of Mozyr district organisation of the Republican Public Association ‘Belaya Rus’, who handed over the Acknowledgements of the district organisation of the Republican Public Association ‘Belaya Rus’ to the Dean of the Faculty of Philology Tatiana Nikolaevna Symanovich, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philology for ideological and educational work Marina Mikhailovna Scherbin and the Head of the Department of Belarusian and Russian Philology Tatiana Nikolaevna Chechko.
