"On April 30, 2024 students of the Philology Department took part in the Youth educational shift ’Confident steps into the profession. I am a teacher!’, which was held by Donetsk State Pedagogical University. This discussion platform is designed to support and realise creative initiatives of young teachers.
This shift included panel discussions, master classes, trainings in the field of pedagogy and mentoring, competition of methodological developments ‘Laboratory of formats’, discussion of successful pedagogical practices.
Our university was represented at this forum by Christina Kuzmenko with the report ‘Teaching reading in English lessons at the second level of secondary education’, Valeria Batura and Olga Chekhunova with the report ‘Methods of semantization of vocabulary in English lessons at the second level of secondary education’. Our students took part in the discussion of the presented pedagogical practices, and also shared their methodological experience in the role of a teacher.
