His eternally bright artistic images and deeply philosophical symbols unite people of different generations, nationalities, professions and views. Ivan Petrovich Shamyakin's novels, stories, memoirs are a source of inspiration for the young generation even today. Students of the Faculty of Philology develop educational projects based on the motives and plots of his works, conduct scientific research, and organise literary meetings. The culmination of the Literary Weeks, which are traditionally held at our university, is the International Shamyakin Readings - a unique platform of teachers‘, students’ and research initiatives.
