In late February at the University of Hildesheim ( Germany ) took place a conference in which representatives of Germany, Russia, Belarus, the Ukraine discussed and completed an application for implementation of TEMPUS IV Program.
The University of Hildesheim is young, dynamic and innovative. It is located in a German city known for its thousand-year history and sights which are on the World Heritage list.
St Michael's Church famous for its painted wooden ceiling. It shows the genealogical tree of Jesus Christ.
The scope of training directions includes educational and social sciences, cultural sciences and aesthetic communications, and information and communication sciences. The small number of students makes it possible to realize the individual approach in education. Besides, the University of Hildesheim has many years' experience in involvement in various international educational projects, including TEMPUS Programs.
Tempus is the European Union’s program which supports the modernisation of higher education in the Partner Countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Western Balkans and the Mediterranean region, mainly through university cooperation projects. Our university participates in the program within the framework of the project “Initial and Further Training for Teachers and Education Managers with Regard to Diversity”.
The conference was opened by Olga Graumann from the University of Hildesheim and the vice-chancellor for International Affairs of Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University Prof., Dr. Mikhail Pevzner. They made a brief overview of the project.
For more detailed information about prospective opportunities of each university presentations were delivered to the conference participants. After an in-depth analysis of the feasibility of the project at each university, group work was carried out.
