On May 16, 2016 Students of Technology and Biology visited Mozyr Animal Shelter "Fast Friends" under the auspices of Svetlana Karas, Assistant, Chair of Labour and Fine Arts. The aim of this social campaign was to support the shelter and understand what responsibility, mercy and compassion really meant.
On May 16, 2016 Students of Technology and Biology visited Mozyr Animal Shelter "Fast Friends" under the auspices of Svetlana Karas, Assistant, Chair of Labour and Fine Arts. The aim of this social campaign was to support the shelter and understand what responsibility, mercy and compassion really meant.Iryna Nevmerzhitskaya, Chairlady, told about the life and directions of the shelter and the main reason why people had left pets. There was lack of responsibility and kind-heartedness. Lots of injured and ill animals are being kept in the shelter now.
Much attention was paid to financial conditions the shelter was organized by. There was no public support, just donations. Monthly 8 million Belarusian rubles are needed to feed 100 dogs. Some money were given by the visitors.
Administration of the shelter, MSPU students and teachers hope that there will more non-indifferent people in our town, because animals in need have no other options to survive.
