Igor Kotovich, Head of the Chair for Biology-Chemistry Education, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor, spoke on the agenda of the seminar. Maria Vorobyova, PhD in Biology, Chair for Biology-Chemistry Education, presented her report devoted to the topicality of invasive species and the projects which were implemented at Technology and Biology Department, MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin.

Oleg Baranov, Doctor of Biology, Associate Professor, (“Forest institute of the National Academy of the Republic of Belarus”) presented his report “Molecular-genetic diagnostics for new infectious diseases of forest woody plants in Belarus”.

Ivan Dubina, PhD in veterinary sciences, Higher Senior Officer, (“Vyshelessovsky Institute of experimentative veterinary science”) presented her report on “Perspectives for better sanitary and helminthologic environment of urban areas”.

Stanislav Panteleev, Higher Senior Officer, “National Academy of the Republic of Belarus for Bio-resources” (Minsk) presented his report on “Population and genetic structure of Hymenoscyphus fraxineus invasive ascomites in Belarus”.

Elena Gaiduchenko, PhD in Biology, introduced the participants of the seminar with the problems of invasions of foreign fish species in the Ponto-Caspian Basin in Belarus.

The organizers of the seminars are very pleased to note that the reports were interesting and useful for students. They learned about the current directions of research on the biology of invasive species, measures to combat them in the Republic of Belarus. Undoubtedly, it will help in their future scientific and pedagogical activities.
