75TH ANNIVERSARY OF MOZYR LIBERATION FROM THE NAZI

On January 11 – 14, 2019 administration of MPSU named after I.P.Shamyakin arranged a series of affairs devoted to the 75th anniversary of Mozyr liberation from the Nazi. Exhibitions on the chosen topic as well as meetings were arranged at the university libraries and student dormitories. MSPU teachers and students watched a movie “Indestructible” in the local cinema “Mir”, attended war posters exhibition “Poster as war chronicles” which was held at the premises of “Mozyr unionized local history museum”. Students who lived in Student Dormitories No. 1, 2, 3 visited the veterans. Svetlana Matveeva, Head of the Youth Office, and Victor Strukov, Chairman of the student trade committee, laid floral tributes to the war memorial.
On January 14, 2019 festive meeting was conducted at the burial mound of glory in Mozyr. The affair was arranged in the honor of Mozyr liberation. MSPU named after I.P. Shamyakin was represented by the delegation consisting of Valery Navnyko, Rector of the University, deans of the departments, heads of the offices, Master’s degree students, PhD students, bachelor degree students.
During the ceremony Elena Pavlechko, Mayor of Mozyr, welcomed Mozyr city-dwellers and asked everybody to participate in the moment of silence and lay floral tributes to the burial mound of glory.
