On February 01, 2018 coordination meeting of Primary organization “Belarusian Physical Society” was held at the premises of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin.

Non-governmental organization “Belarusian Physical Society” is an organization where academic researchers, experts and students who investigate Physics and sidelines of the science, are involved. The main objective of the organization is to develop aspects of Physics and distribute knowledge of Physics. All these factors will positively effect on creative skills of physicists, protection of scientific, professional and social interests, development of creative and professional contacts with scientists, professional and public organization from foreign countries.

These days BPS unites individual members from 30 scientific organizations and universities in the Republic of Belarus. Yury Kurochkin, Dr. hab. in Physics and Mathematics, Head of Theoretical Physics Laboratory at Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, was proclaimed to be the Сhairman of BPS. With contributions made by BPS a wide range of conferences were arranged in Belarus as well as abroad. Since 2005 BPS has become a co-organizer of Congress of Belarusian Physicists. Moreover, BPS is a member of European and Eurasian Physical Societies.

There are 9 members of BPS held at the premises of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin. At the meeting the following matters of negotiation were discussed: key activities for 2016 – 2017 and main achievements, election of the chairman and a secretary. Vasily Shepelevich, Dr. hab. in Physics and Mathematics, Professor, was reelected for the position of a chairman. Liliya Dorosheva, Head teacher, Chair of Theoretical Physics and Applied Informatics, was chosen for the position of a secretary. L. Dorosheva and V. Shepelevich were chosen to represent MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin at IX Congress of the Belarusian Physical Society.
