On 27th of September, 2013, the III International reading of Shamyakin - «Writer - Personality - Time" took place.

27-09-00The conference was organized by the Faculty of Philology, Department of Literature. The scientific event was attended by scientists from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.

Beforehand   the sourcebook reflecting the content and the issues of the talks was published. At the beginning of the scientific forum, V. S. Bolbas, the first Vice-principal of “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I. P. Shamyakin ", associated Professor of pedagogical sciences, welcomed the participants of the conference. He noted the importance of perpetuating the memory of the national Belarusian writer, educator and social activist I. P. Shamyakin, and stressed the priority of humanitarian experience for forming intellectual and cultural background of the society.

In the course of plenary meeting presentations were made by A. M. Nenadovets, Ph.D, Professor, the Head of the Department of social sciences and law of the Belarusian State economic University branch in Bobruisk; V. A. Leshchinskaya, Ph.D., Professor, the head of the Department of Belarusian language of "GSU named after Scorina" (Gomel, Belarus); V.V.Shur, Ph. D., Professor, the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages of “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I. P. Shamyakin" ; A. J. Barsuk, candidate of historical sciences, docent, assistant to the dean of the philological faculty for research (Mozyr, Belarus).

At the sessions of the III International readings of Shamyakin "Writer - Personality - Time» the following issues were discussed:

  • Creative work, literary and social activity of I. P. Shamyakin in the context of the XX century;
  • literary generations of the XX - XXI centuries: aesthetic and axiological search;
  • national image of the world through the prism of time and new cultural paradigms;
  • modern literary process: problems of form and content;
  • creative work of I. Shamyakin and problems of teaching literature in schools and in universities;
  • the study of the historical and cultural heritage of Belarus;
  • language and style of fiction literature;
  • actual problems of modern language study.

At the end of the conference, during the round table, the sides exchanged views on ways to further scientific cooperation, identified research priorities for the next international readings of Shamyakin.
