XXIX MINSK INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR

Elena Kazmirchuck, Head of MSPU Library, and Anna Savitskaya and Olga Streltsova, Philology Students, participated in the XXIX Minsk International Book Fair “The river of life in the Motherland”. The event was held in the exhibition centre “Bel-Expo” on March 23-27, 2022.

It is important to mention that the Year 2022 was proclaimed as the year of the historical memory. Thus, all the people who were keen on reading, writing and publishing books took part in the fair; the key affairs of the fair were devoted to the role of the book in studying, preserving and popularizing of Historical heritage.

CAREER GUIDANCE COUNSELING СAMPAIGN

MSPU teachers and students from Philology Faculty arranged a career guidance counseling campaign at the educational establishments in Zhlobin, Rogachev, Rechitsa. The campaign was held on March 18-25, 2022. The graduates from a secondary school organized an online tour around Mozyr and Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin. They were informed about the bachelor degree programs available for admission in 2022, admission rules, peculiarities of students’ life. Much attention was paid to the research and international projects held at MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. Creative performance made by MSPU students was great and touched the hearts of the school leavers.

GENOCIDE OF THE BELARUSSIANS: WE WILL NEVER FORGET

Sergey Sinitsky, Attorney of Mozyr District, a Councillor of Justice, visited MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin to take part at the discussion “Genocide of the Belarussians: we will never forget”. Sergey Sinitsky made a retrospective journey into the history and spoke about the criminal investigations against the Genocide of the Belarussians.

In his turn, Sergey Telepen, PhD in History, Associate Professor, Department of History and Social Studies, delivered the report devoted to the actions which had to be done to stop the Nazism and the current issues of social and political life in Belarus.

INFORMATION MEETING

MSPU administration, teachers, students and young scientists met the head of the State managerial authorities i.e. Irina Dovgalo, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Valentina Nazarenko, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksey Sokol, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist party of Belarus. Social and political situation in the Republic of Belarus was discussed at the meeting.

WORLD POETRY DAY

Olya Streltsova and Anya Savitskaja, MSPU students, Philology Faculty, 2 nd year, majoring in “Russian and Russian Literature. Foreign Language (English)”, took part in the literary meeting devoted to the World Poetry Day on March 23, 2022. The meeting was held at the premises of Aleksandr Pushkin Mozyr Central Library. MSPU students recited their poetry and presented the educational projects held at the premises of the literary salon (Philology Faculty).
