On January 14, 1944 the troops of the first Belarusian front line, being under the command of Rokosovsky the General, implemented an offensive operation against the Nazi. MSPU international students visited War Museum which was opened at Secondary School No. 16 in Mozyr. In the course of the lecture conducted by Vladimir Gimbut, a teacher of History, the students got a lucky chance to acquaint with soldiers’ ammunition, weapons, war household items. The students got to know about Military and Patriotic club “Search” whose main aim was to discover more unknown facts about the war.

CIVIC AND NATIONAL EDUCATION

Development of civic and national education implemented at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin is one of the most important directions of work with the students. On January 14, 2017 Mozyr city dwellers celebrated the liberation from the Nazi. MSPU students – representatives of Student dormitory No.2 visited Julia Hrustalieva, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, and gave her a memorable gift to bring some joy and happiness into Ms Julia’s life.

Students from Preschool and elementary education department together with Svetlana Shulga visited Mr Pugalov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War and wished him all the best, especially health, piece and welfare.

In December 2017 Electronic student manual “Mechanics. Electronic learning and teaching support kit” developed by Zhanna Ravutskaya, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, was verified by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus (d/d 21.12.2017, Reference number И-08-21/498) and promoted as an electronic manual for students who majored in “Computerized Physics”.

Electronic learning and teaching support kit in Mechanics consists of 4 parts: Theory section; Practice section; Revision and consolidation section; appendix. The support kit will help to develop the following academic competence of students: to accept basic knowledge on research and theory; to obtain skills for systematic and comparative analysis; to be able to use technical equipment; to have passion for knowledge; to enhance professional skills; to use the knowledge when deal with fundamental issues of Physics; to conduct research with the help of theoretical and computerized tools.

LIBERATION OF MOZYR FROM THE NAZI AGGRESSORS: 74TH ANNIVERSARY

On January 10 – 13, 2018 ceremonial events devoted to the 74^th anniversary liberation of Mozyr from the Nazi aggressors were held at the premises of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P.Shamyakin.

On January 12, 2018 a festive gathering was held at the burial mound of glory in Mozyr. War veterans, veterans of labor, city authorities, representatives of local industrial enterprises, members of voluntary organizations and youth non-governmental societies attended the gathering. MSPU administration, deans of the departments, heads of the structural units, PhD, Masters’ and Bachelor’s degree students participated in the gathering, too.
