On February 27, 2018 National Cuisine Day was held at the premises of Student Dormitory No. 3; chief organizers – Office for Educational affairs with MSPU students.
Students from Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Ukraine, Russia and the Republic of Belarus participated in the fest. Representative of each country cooked a meal, presented it and lectured on the typical features of the national cuisine of their Motherland.
On February 23, 2017 a festive concert devoted to University Foundation Day, Defender's Day, centennial of national defence forces of the Republic of Belarus was held at the premises of Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakin.
Valentin Valetov, Rector of the University, opened a festive ceremony and congratulated the members of MSPU academic staff with University Foundation Day, Defender's Day, Centennial of National Defence Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
On February 22, 2018 on the threshold to the Defender of the Motherland Day and 100-year anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus MSPU students visited Mozyr Local Guard Force Department. In the course of the meeting members of Administrative staff of Mozyr Local Guard Force Department presented MSPU students with vigilante group acknowledgement certificates.
Alexey Nikitenko, Deputy Chief for Ideology and Staff Assistance, Military Major, surrendered the certificates and expressed his deepest gratitude to active involvement of young volunteers to law enforcement, crime prevention and community spirit development.
On February 21, 2018 language and music festival “Constellation of linguistic cultures” devoted to the Day the National Language was held at the premises of Philology Department at MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. In 1999 this day was proclaimed a festive one in accordance with the decision of the 30th UNESCO General Conference. The festival is contributed to linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. Any native language is a soul of a nation, its History, its vivid memory and heritage.
Students from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Ethiopia get degrees at MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin. All the students appreciate and feel proud of their national language, because the language is a unique world full of extraordinary melodies.
On February 16, 2018 MSPU undergraduates who majored in “Mathematics and Informatics” gave 2 demonstration lessons at Mozyr upper secondary school No. 1. Modern educational techniques were used at the lessons. The students applied to game training, interdisciplinary approaches, and traditional teaching techniques. After the lessons, methodology teachers alongside with trainee teachers participated in the discussion session where advantages and disadvantages of the lessons were discussed.
