On November 22, 2018 annual students’ campaign “Freshman Fest” was held at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin.
It is a great honour to say that the team who represented the Department of Preschool and Elementary Education got the first prize.

On November 17, 2018 Self-government day was held at Philology Department. The following affairs were involved: Department administration session on the topic “Main directions of work of Student Council at Philology Department in 2017-2018 and main objectives for 2018-2019”, round table discussion “Student self government and its role when professional background of students is created”, art-contest “My Motherland”, fun-campaign “Selfie with a favorite teacher” and “Working friday”.
On November 21, 2018 administration of Philology Department conducted a workshop for bachelor degree students “Teacher: is it a mission of life or just a profession?” Galina Shanina and Victor Harin, acting as the veterans of teaching profession, honorary workers of education, and Victoria Klimenko, Deputy Director for Educational Affairs at Secondary School No. 7 at Mozyr, met 2nd-4th year students from Philology Department.
On November 16, 2018 All-Universities’ Forum “Students’ fall – 2018” was held in Gomel. Delegation from MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin guided by Sergey Shchur, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, participated in the forum. The participants of the forum visited “Gomel Crystal Enterprise” and Secondary School No.69 of Gomel. The round-table discussion was a key event of the forum. During the meeting students and adults discussed the position of trade unions arranged at the premises of establishments for secondary, vocational, higher education. An exhibition for professional orientation, style and mass-media stuff was held on the forum. A gala concert “My university is my motherland” was held at the end of the forum; MSPU students participated in the concert and presented great performance.
Genius nature of pupils is known as a topical issue for secondary school teachers who have to determine creative pupils as early as possible, to enhance their talent and allow a talented pupil to be integrated into the modern society succesfully. With the aim to get to know more about the mentioned above issues a State methodology meeting of teachers who worked in the field of additional education was conducted at the premises of MSPU named after I.P.Shamyakin on November 15, 2018. The topic of the meeting was conceived as the following one: “Support of talented pupils through reveal and implementation of creative potential in traditional and applied art”.
